Summer Sips and High Spirits

The Rise of THC Drinks: A New Chapter in Social Consumption

Oh the joys of summer! Here comes great vibes, cookouts, and vacations. As the heat rises, we all look for refreshing beverages to make the heat a little more enjoyable. Often this is when alcoholic beverages take over and reign supreme. In most social settings, we all reach for refreshing and beachy cocktails like Sex on the beach, Palomas, Mojitos, Daiquiris, Margaritas, Aperol Spritzes, Pina Coladas, or my new personal favorite Caipirinha. These are some of the most popular summertime beverages at any local social spot, restaurant, or family barbeque simply because they offer a blend of citrus, fruit, and refreshing flavors, making them ideal for combating the summer heat. Most are generally easy to prepare, making them suitable for entertaining at home or serving at casual gatherings. However, many people are beginning to take a second look at their alcohol consumption and wanting to find other alternatives for social consumption.

In the last year there has been a rise of non-alcoholic beverages and social tonics hitting consumer shelves that give the promise of a gentle buzz without the negative alcoholic effects such as headaches, bloating, memory loss (after large amounts of consumption), exhaustion, or feeling like you have been hit by a bus the next morning. Even bars and restaurants have boosted their offerings of mocktails and alternative drinks to appeal to those that want a unique beverage but without the booze. In grocery stores adaptogen drinks infused with Ashwagandha, Licorice root, Reishi mushrooms, Cordycep mushrooms, ginseng, or turmeric are all but the craze. What are adaptogens? These are a particular class of herbs, roots, and other plant-based substances that help the body adapt to various stressors. They work by modulating the body's response to stress, helping to regulate the production and release of stress hormones and promote a state of equilibrium. Brands like Kin, Hiyo and Recess are but a few beverages infused with adaptogens to help the body manage stress, increase focus, enhance mood, and promote wellness.

Among all these new social tonics and alcohol free beverages, cannabis infused drinks are making a splash as the next big thing in social settings, offering a refreshing alternative to smoking and alcohol. With cannabis drinks like seltzers, mocktails, and teas gaining popularity, more consumers are turning to these tasty options for a smooth, controlled euphoria. Unlike smoking or vaping, THC-infused drinks offer a more discreet and approachable experience—perfect for both first-time users and seasoned enthusiasts.

In comparison to alcohol, THC-infused drinks provide a buzz without the hangover, dehydration, or excess calories. Plus, they tend to kick in faster than traditional edibles, thanks to liquid absorption. Whether you're sipping at a party or unwinding at home, cannabis beverages offer a healthier, more mindful way to elevate any moment.

THC Syrups & Shots: The Unsung Heroes of Cannabis Consumption

While pre-mixed cannabis drinks are becoming more available, in some areas they might not be as prominent. Don't worry though, that's where syrups and shots come in handy. THC syrups and shots are the real game changers for those who love customizing their buzz. These are potent, easy-to-use concentrates that can be added to sparkling drinks, juices, smoothies—or any drink you enjoy. With flexible dosing and endless mixology options, THC syrup lets you craft your own cannabis experience without the need for complicated prep.

Unlike traditional edibles, which can take up to 2 hours to take effect, liquid-based THC products are absorbed faster, giving you a more timely and predictable onset. Plus, with low or no sugar options, they’re great for health-conscious users. Whether you're micro-dosing on the go with a THC shot or whipping up your own infused lemonade at home, these products are perfect for anyone seeking both convenience and creativity.

Want to try a recipe...

If you a fan of frozen margaritas then this recipe will be sure to please...

1.)Grab a Butter of Sheba Sour Lemon THC syrup. We normally say start with a 1-2 tablespoon of syrup. For more seasoned enthusiasts, start with 2-3 tablespoons. Add more or less syrup based on your preferred taste and desired dosage.

2.)I love using Simply Limeade juice as a shortcut for my margaritas but feel free make your own fresh limeade juice if you have the time.

3.) 1 cup of ice and blend all the ingredients up.

4.) Sip and wait for the euphoria.

Cheers to the summer!
